From a closed issue 3 years ago, I get the impression that valgrind 'possible memory leaks' are a routine and unavoidable result of using parallelFor. Is that the case?
I can live with that, but it makes for awkward relations with CRAN core (my revision 2.2.1 of package openCR that shows such leaks has just been accepted on the condition I try to sort it out; triggered when valgrind revealed a more serious bug, now fixed).
I would appreciate an update from those in the know.
