WHATSAPP TEXT MESSAGING TERMS OF USE

Effective June 12, 2026

By "Opting In" to or using the “Text Message Program” (as defined below) from WhatsApp, LLC (“WhatsApp”), you accept these Terms & Conditions.

This agreement is between you and WhatsApp. All references to "WhatsApp," "we," "our," or "us" refer to WhatsApp, LLC, 1 Meta Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, United States of America.

Definitions

"Opting In," "Opt In," and "Opt-In" refer to requesting, joining, agreeing to, enrolling in, signing up for, acknowledging, responding to, or otherwise consenting to receive one or more text messages by registering for WhatsApp’s messaging services.

"Text Message Program" includes any arrangement or situation in which we send one or more messages addressed to your mobile phone number, including text messages (such as SMS, MMS, or successor protocols or technologies).

Program Description

The Text Message Program provides informational and/or conversational SMS messages related to your use of WhatsApp products and services, including account-related notices, security alerts (such as verification codes and suspicious activity notifications), and service updates. Participation is not required to use WhatsApp and you can opt-out at any time.

Consenting to Text Messaging

By Opting In, you expressly consent to receive text messages from us, you agree to these Text Messaging Terms of Use, as well as our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which are incorporated herein by reference.

Frequency of Text Messages

This Text Messaging Program is for informational and/or conversational communications between you and WhatsApp. The number of text messages you receive will vary depending on how you use our services and whether you take steps to generate more text messages from us (such as by sending a HELP request).

Costs of Text Messages

Message and data rates may apply depending on your plan with your wireless carrier or other applicable provider.

Supported Carriers and Availability

Delivery of SMS messages may be subject to effective transmission from your wireless carrier and is outside of WhatsApp’s control. Supported carriers may include the major U.S. carriers and many smaller/regional carriers; however, the Program may not be available on all carriers or in all areas at all times. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

E-Sign Disclosure

By opting in to receive text messages, you agree we may document your consent electronically. You can opt out anytime by replying STOP.

Dispute Resolution

Disputes arising from or relating to the Text Message Program are governed by the dispute resolution terms in the WhatsApp Terms of Service, including any applicable arbitration agreement and class action waiver. Those terms are incorporated herein by reference.

WhatsApp will use reasonable commercial efforts to deliver automated text messages to the mobile number you provide. WhatsApp and the wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
